CONCEPT
As the title so eloquently says it, if you are broke it is because you are lazy. At first glance this might not be what you want to hear. But, what you want to hear and what you need to hear are two different things.
RATIONALIZATION
If you live in the United States of America, there is absolutely no reason to be broke. We live in the land of opportunity. The land where you can make money, no matter who you are or your particular situation. Take for example the inventors of the snuggie and the pet rock. What more opportunity do you need then the chance to make millions from such a pointless product?
Regardless of popular opinion, the recession is not an excuse for being broke. While it does make things a little bit harder, there is still as much opportunity as there was before we ever hit the recession.
Is it easy to make money? I never said it was easy. if it was “easy” then everyone would be making tons of money. This is where the laziness factor plays a part. There is no excuse for being broke. We live in a place where you can work two part-time jobs and still have the chance to sell things online. We live in a place where people like Perez Hilton can make a fortune by gossiping on the internet.
CONCLUSION
You have the choice to just do enough work to pay the bills and struggle. You have the choice to decide whether or not you sit on the couch all day. You also have the choice to decide to start a business of your own or look for a new job that pays better. You have the choice to make something of yourself. Something that you can be proud of and excited to do.
